چکیده

In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in heat transfer enhancement using nanofluids channels due to current devices become smaller and more compact are expected perform better. Thus, we attempt introduce hybrid flow a straight pipe Ansys Fluent software. The simulation was prepared with certain specific parameters such as the hydraulic diameter is set at 10mm, continuum, Reynold number range of 5000 30000, k-e turbulent model used this simulation, inlet temperature 297 K, uniform along 313 K. This study carried out on Al2O3+Cu / water analyse thermal improvement friction factor occur pipe. Then, numerical results obtained were compared between mono nanofluids. It found that 1% 4% indicate significant increase Nusselt 17% 24% respectively nanofluid 2% 5.6% base fluid. Whereas remains similar for all However, performance evaluation criterion (PEC) shown remain lower than

Nanofluids for Heat Transfer Enhancement – A Review

A nanofluid is a dilute liquid suspension of particles with at least one critical dimension smaller than ~100 nm. Research works so far suggest that nanofluids offer excellent heat transfer enhancement over conventional base fluids. The enhancement depends on several factors such as particle shape, particle size distribution, volume fraction of nanoparticles, temperature, pH, and thermal conduc...

Numerical study of the enhancement of heat transfer for hybrid CuO-Cu Nanofluids flowing in a circular pipe.

A numerical simulation model for laminar flow of nanofluids in a pipe with constant heat flux on the wall was built to study the effect of the Reynolds number on convective heat transfer and pressure loss. The investigation was performed for hybrid nanofluids consisting of CuO-Cu nanoparticles and compared with CuO and Cu in which the nanoparticles have a spherical shape with size 50, 50, 50nm ...

Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer of Nanofluids over a Flat Plate with Conjugate Heat Transfer

The falling and settling of solid particles in gases and liquids is a natural phenomenon happens in many industrial processes. This phenomenon has altered pure forced convection to a combination of heat conduction and heat convection in a flow over a plate. In this paper, the coupling of conduction (inside the plate) and forced convection of a non-homogeneous nanofluid flow (over a flat plate) ...

Unsteady Numerical Investigations of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Nanofluids in a Confined Jet Using Two-Phase Mixture Model

The development of high-performance thermal systems has increased interest in heat transfer enhancement techniques. The application of additives to heat transfer liquids is one of the noticeable effort to enhance heat transfer. In this paper two-dimensional unsteady incompressible nanofluid flow in a confined jet at the laminar flow regime is numerically investigated. The Mixture model is consi...
